I bought this new around 1987-88, original owner and only played once! The vinyl itself is mint without a mark but as you can see the jacket has lots of surface wear from being moved around to several different states when moving in the last 30+ yrs.
Even though the jacket is printed as PINKTOP, the actual concert is from the PINKPOP Festival in Geleen, Holland. Now whether the jacket was misprinted as PINKTOP or intentional, I have no idea. The date on the original catalog that came with it states May 5th, but the Pinkpop Festival was on June 4th. There's not much info on Discogs but with that in mind, I have some extensive research for all of you Rush fans out there👍
There are several YT vids of this show and if looking closely, you can see Alex Lifeson's blackened finger tip as he plays. The story behind is revealed in a interview yrs later by Geddy Lee...

Geddy Lee ~ I do remember the festival quite well for a number of reasons. This was one of our first and more expansive European tours, and I think something like four or five days before this show, Alex was involved in some sort of bedroom accident, and he hurt his finger. He hurt it so severely that he had this major blood blister under one of his nails and had to go have it treated, and he couldn’t put any pressure on his guitar neck for a few days, so we had to cancel a couple of shows in Germany.

Just to clarify: Alex’s hand injury was the result of a “bedroom accident”?
[Laughs] No one really knows what happened. He went into his bedroom with his wife one night, and he came out the next day with a fucked-up finger.

I may need to follow up with him about this.
[Laughs] Pinkpop was the first gig we’d done since he hurt himself, so the gig is very fresh in my mind. There were three stages. In fact, we played on the same stage as the Police, and that was just when they’d had a big hit with “Roxanne.” They were the darlings of the festival. Peter Tosh was on that show. It was kind of a cool event, and the Dutch are great rock fans. We didn’t do many festivals like that.

This extremely rare pressing comes with the original insert from TMOQ and displayed in a nice aluminum frame with polished plastic covering. I have had many very rare vinyls over the last 40 yrs, and this one ranks near the top! Considering this was recorded in 1979, the audio is excellent. Do your own research and watch some of the YT vids to form your own opinion.
My first concert ever was RUSH in 1978, at the IMA Arena in Flint MI... which I will never forget!  100 Concerts later this one still stands out! As much as I'd like to hang onto this rare recorded Gem, I need the extra cash for moving expenses😒
