~ 1946 GENERAL TELEVISION TUBE RADIO MODEL 5A5 ~

The Radio-Cafe is pleased to offer for your consideration this gorgeous 1946 General Television 5A5 bakelite tube radio fully restored and in pristine condition!

These small sets are among collectors favorites for their design, color combinations used, as well as other varying details. But don't let the small size fool you when it comes to sound, as they pack a nice punch with good clear audio!

The bakelite cabinet has no cracks or chips and is a dark brown with a burgundy hue color and with subtle marbling throughout. I took many photos in different lighting showcasing how it looks. As for the trim, I decided to redo the original knobs, original plaskon & tentite trim pieces in painted Pistachio Green which really brightens the set up and would look great displayed as a kitchen radio or with other GT sets of different color combinations.

The gold foil dial scale is pristine and lights up bright even in a well lit room. The electronics have been fully restored as well and I back my work with a full one year electronics warranty.  SOLD
